2. If you have a pool available, take some pictures underwater to get a good feel of what you are doing.
You don't want to experiment on vacation. Vacations are relaxing times, not a time to stress over your camera. When snorkeling you are ordinarily shallow adequate that a flash will not be needed. The Canon Sd630 Camera also takes videos. With the waterproof case, videos of exotic sea life is possible.
Because the underwater housing is waterproof up to 130 feet or 40 meters, it is great for scuba diving. One concern when scuba diving, is the camera may tend to float upward. There are weights available for just this issue. With the Proper weights the camera will float in front of you. Specific you don't drop it to the bottom!
